How to Become a PDEA Agent?
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency is an institution tasked to combat drug use and smuggling within the country. To successfully carry out its functions, the agency is always locking for recruits with courage to fight the growing problem of dangerous drug activities in the country. To become one of these top notch agents, the recruit must undergo through months of training and pass ever test the academy acquired. Upon graduation, recruits earn themselves the title of Intelligence Officer I


For those who want to become PDEA Agent, here are the qualifications and requirements.

PDEA Agent Qualifications:
  • Must be a Filipino Citizen.
  • Must have a good moral character.
  • Must be a Bachelor Degree holder.
  • Must b a Civil Service Professional eligible of Board passer.
  • At least 5’4” in height for men and 5’2” in height for women.
  • At least 21 years old but not more than 35 years old.
  • Must be physically fit.
  • Must have great oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have a burning desire to fight dangerous drug problem in the country.
  • Willing to be assigned anywhere in the Philippines.


PDEA Agent Requirements:
  • Application letter addressed to PDEA Main Office or any PDEA Regional Office
  • Duly accomplished PDEA Application Form (can be downloaded to agency website)
  • Transcript of Records (original or authenticated)
  • Diploma (original or authenticated)
  • Civil Service Professional Eligibility of PRC Board Rating
  • Barangay Clearance
  • Municipal or Metropolitan Trial Court Clearance
  • Prosecutor’s Clearance
  • Regional Trial Court Clearance
  • Affidavit of Undertaking of Non-Pending Case
  • Drug Test Result (1 month prior to application)
For online application, applicants must have their personal contact number and email address. The applicant will then email the scanned duly accomplished form and other requirement stated above and sent to pdea_recruitment@yahoo.com.

Applicants who qualify will be notified to take the Qualifying Examination (QE). After QE, applicants will undergo Neuro Psychological Test. Neuro Psychological Test passers will then take Medical Examination. Passers of Medical Examination will undergo Agility Test and those who qualify will be go through Panel Interview for background check.

After qualifying to series of test and exams, the qualifying applicant will undertake a six month comprehensive and rigid training program at PDEA Academy. Upon graduation, successful PDEA recruits will have a Salary Grade 11 and have an entry level position of Intelligence Officer I.

a college grad. applicant are needed a civil service exam to pass??
