The Bureau of Customs (BOC) implements an effective revenue collection by
preventing and suppressing smuggling and the entry of prohibited imported
goods. It supervises and controls the entrance and clearance of vessels and
aircrafts engaged in foreign commerce. It also enforces the Tariff and Customs
Code of the Philippines and all other laws, rules and regulations related to
tariff and customs administration.

I am calling to ask for an adjustment to my Customs Duty and Vat charges you have levied at 7,036 Philippine pesos, on my receiver Jenifer Lalu Flores in The Philippines. I am aged Pension recipient in Australia. She is unable to work because she was crippled and disabled , having experienced 3 strokes, a heartattack, breatrhing Asthmatic conditions as well as recently having come out of a comatose state. She recently was admitted for another suspected heart attack event, she nor I, myself are able to pay this very high amount levied on an insurance value for new replacement value, should non delivery, breakage etc ocurr. The goods are second hand goods , being many years old. I estimate the second hand value as being $200-$AUD225. I was not told that there is a duty free valuation of 10,000Pesos. Had I been properly informed of this, I would have split the package in 2 different consignments, sending at diffent daily postings. Having said that, I think, that taking the free duty Zone of P10,000 into consideration, the ve, whether reduced to the 200-A$22 value would be approximately P6,900P. I, and Jenifer are respectfully asking for this matter, of A$499 new/near new replacement value, be reassessed and either, (1) the estimated used value be the correct assessment of A200A225 be used for Customs duties/ VAT means. or, (110 the duty free amount of Philippines Customs be applied, if it is insisted that you apply the A499 insurance value which, I errantly stated. I am a Christian man, am trying to help a very badly, financially, disadvantaged, Citizen, single with 3 children to provide for. This &,036P payment to you will be devastating to her money situation, they will have to forego, Christmas, kid's presents, everything. I pray you are able to remove all charges for this Dear Lady.
